Reading: Colossians 1:1-2
The young church in Colossae was being harassed by a group of false teachers whose basic
message was, “Jesus isn’t enough to give you the relationship with God you need.” In response, Paul
shows the Colossians that he was bringing a different message, one based on a different authority,
and one that reminded them of a different identity.
