Reading: Colossians 1
No book in the New Testament tells us more about Jesus’ identity, mission and
accomplishments than the book of Colossians, four densely-packed chapters right in the middle of
the New Testament. This sermon answers questions surrounding the Colossian church, and why
Paul felt the necessity to write them from a Roman prison cell. It also briefly discusses three of the
major themes in Colossians: the supremacy of Christ, the sufficiency of Christ, and the “right now”
victory of Christ.
